14.300m2 built area

Refurbishment of the old Hotel Cala Nova in Es Canà, Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza 2019.

The main idea of the refurbishment of the old Cala Nova hotel consisted of conceiving the Hotel’s noble spaces in a large continuous space in the manner of a large open stage that enhances all kinds of interrelations, where the different interior public uses are visually united, which in turn overlook the beautiful natural exterior landscape of Cala Nova. From the ground floor with the different event, lounge and restaurant rooms, through the large vertical hall and ending in a spectacular roof with a restaurant and swimming pool.

Exteriors

The outdoor pools are viewed and connected from the ground floor of the building, are located on a platform elevated above the sea and are conceived in a totally organic way. As if they were shapes generated by the waves of the sea lapping on the beach.  With an imprecise and natural design

The roof of the hotel becomes a dreamed happy ending of the building on its route and a spectacular place to enjoy its surroundings, from a privileged aerial viewpoint, focused on relaxation and calm, with intense light, between the water, the sun and the shade, essential elements of the Mediterranean.
