Rehabilitation of an isolated single-family house in Ses Torres, Santa Eulalia del Rio, Ibiza 2013
Reform of an old isolated house consisting of emptying its interior, respecting its structure of stone walls. A set of new interior spaces are projected respecting the initial typology, built with structure and carpentries of pine wood and limestone finishes, lime plaster, exposed concrete splint and Corten steels in contrast with the stainless steel of the kitchen as an aesthetic counterpoint to the warm and natural performance.
A very specific family program is resolved. An exhaustive exercise of control and study of the detail of the uses, the adequate measurement of the spaces, the necessary light, the suitable materials and the pre-existences. Seeking to devise the best possible Mediterranean refuge for enjoyment during the four seasons of the year, both inside and outside the home.
