Project for two detached houses with swimming pools in Cala de Bou, Ibiza 2025. In process
The project develops the programme of two detached dwellings that can function as a whole (Use A) or independently (Use B). For the development of Use A as the main value, a central outdoor space for enjoyment and social relations is proposed as a large Oasis. While in Use B the oasis are transformed into private and slightly smaller ones through the design. This design is complemented with natural materials such as water, stone, wood, lime and wicker, together with local vegetation and shadows provided by trees and pergolas that reinforce the Mediterranean character.
Blueprints
The traces of the volumes are the result of forming aggregations, resulting in a piece with recesses like the traditional Ibizan architecture of the country houses, these also adapt to the pre-existences of the plot, respecting a ‘Safareig’ that is transformed into the second swimming pool of the project. This distribution of volumes creates a beautiful sequence of gardens, swimming pools and semi-covered spaces that configure a plot with a constant relationship with nature.
