1.237m2 built area

Residential building with 10 dwellings in Via Púnica 34, Ibiza 2015.

The Vía Púnica 34 building is a multi-family block between party walls on six levels in the urban centre of Ibiza. With the ground floor raised, to conserve and visualise the existing archaeological remains, it contains a single large, sober and colourful pedestrian and vehicular access to the vertical nucleus of access to the dwellings and the car park located at the back of the plot.

exteriors

The building has 10 flats on 5 floors, 2 per landing, which, with a marked typological design based on the layout of the main bathroom as the central nucleus of the floor plan, gives them great spatial fluidity with continuous circulation around it, in turn arranging the day and night areas. In addition, it is emphasised as the main articulation, clad in wood, and takes on continuous expression throughout the floor as a warm and attractive visual reference.

interiors

In the building Vía Púnica 34 we resolved the main façade with a large aluminium lattice that can be opened, as a brise soleil in the daytime area. A dynamic composition of white horizontal slats and small vertical stiffeners in different shades of green, which are randomly arranged to form a large collage of plants.

The accordion-like operability of the lattice allows it to be retracted at the ends of the openings on cold days, thus allowing solar radiation to be captured, and on the other hand to be deployed on hot summer days to achieve shading of the interior. Passive system that provides the building with excellent energy efficiency throughout the year.
