Single-family detached house project in Can Rimbau, Ibiza 2022. In process.
Situated on the side of a mountain in the Can Rimbau development, the project develops the programme in four basic levels. The arrival level is located at the top, connected to the Oria access street. The common use space and the master suite are immediately on the lower level. It is the main level of the house and stands out for the spectacular terrace with integrated swimming pool. As if it were a large boat deck, the landscape is contemplated on the horizon.
This main floor for communal use is conceived as a belvedere enveloped in vegetation. There is a combination of different outdoor spaces for contemplation. On the one hand, on the north façade, the hillside is perceived through a large landscape window over a bookcase, while inside, interior courtyards introduce light and colour, and through the south façade and framed by a porch, one can see the tops of the trees on the plot and the beautiful surrounding landscape, with Ses Feixes de Talamanca in the foreground and the skyline of the city of Ibiza, the sea and Formentera in the background.
Blueprints
The bedroom rooms are completely open to the beautiful views. In direct continuity with the exterior, the porches and water features are integrated into their environment, serving as a frame for the landscape. The bathroom of the master suite also contains a patio with vegetation that surrounds it and floods it with natural light and privacy.
